Name: Detton
Age: 32
Species: Werewolf, born (human base)
Description: Upon looking at Detton, one would be reminded of the statues of heroes of old, or maybe even of the gods themselves. Standing just over seven and a half feet tall, Dettons arms are as strong as trees, and his legs sturdier than even the mountains.
His handsome face is marred by only two things. One, a scar that runs from the top of his right ear all the way to the corner of his chin, spidering off every once in awhile like a vein.
The other is the metal. From his hair line on his left side to half way down his torso, is covered in an almost mirrorlike metal with faint red streaks in it. It completely encompasses his left arm as well.
His right eye is a brilliant brown, standing out even amongst his metal featuers, while the left shines a dull red.
Clothing: When not in battle, Dettons clothing of choice are his tight-knit wool breeches, silk shirt, and a nice over-robe with gold stitching in the form of oriental style dragons. He wears long gloves to cover up the metal on his arm, and high necked shirts for the same reason.
When knowingly going into battle though, he wears armor made of darksteel. The black metal covers his chest and his left arm. Spikes jut out from some parts of it as well. His right arm has only a bracer and gauntlet combo, leaving it a bit more versatility.
The most common thing Detton wears is his mask. The mask itself is humanoid, but has traits of lupine and draconic structure about it. Some times he wears a helmet, but not normally.
Weapons: Most notable is the enormous sword that he carries into battle. The blade itself is at least fifteen feet long, and two feet wide (think zanbatou from rurouni kenshin with a slightly longer hilt). The weight alone is enough to deter most thieves (as it's almost impossible to pick up for most thieves, much less sneak off with it), but it's also enchanted. Runes have been etched into the blade that allow it to attack those foes that might not be fully there (ghosts, incorporeal, ethereal). It can also engulf itself in flames.
He also has a greatbow that shoots magic arrows with an acidic enchantment. He carries a battle axe and a dagger as well, but uses them mostly as tools.
Personality: Detton is the kind of guy that you can go to the local pub with and have a great time just laughing, drinking, and telling stories. He holds an unwavering loyalty to those he calls friends, and would do anything to protect them and his family. He likes to have fun, just like anybody else, but he also has a serious side to him. To him, there are just some things that you can't joke about. A hard worker who does his part quickly and efficiently.
History: Detton left his village at an early age after his mother died to go adventuring. At eighteen, he'd already made a name for himself, and Bahaumet, the dragon god himself, approached him. For four long years, Detton served as an avatar of the dragon god before he was released from service. He decided to settle down and start a living without war. He bought a house, got married and had a child. Lillian. His wife died in child birth, leaving Detton to raise Lily on his own. When Lily was six, everything went wrong though.
During the night, Detton was held under an enchanted sleep by five powerful mages while the entire village was slaughtered. Only a few escaped the carnage, but they weren't paid any mind. The real target was Dettons family. When he finally awoke, he found Lily's body. He left the village, traveling for a long time to find the murderers, but with no clues. He abandoned his gods, most of his friends, even, almost, his humanity.
After two years of searching, he gave up. Having come to terms with his grief, he headed to the mountains. Using contacts that he'd gotten during travels, he began to set up a mining business. Now, he lives a prosperous life mining rare metals such as mithril, adamantine, shadesteel, and other such metals. He's also dipped into arms and armor, shipbuilding, and many other industries. For now, his adventuring career is at an end. But every year, on the eve of the massacre, he visits the almost barren land where the village had been. Only one grave stands there now. The grave of his daughter.
Powers: Detton is a werewolf, so he can shapeshift into a dire wolf or a hybrid wolf-man. His bite can pass along the lycanthropic infection. He also has the "eye-bite" ability. When he fixes an opponent with his stare, he can cause one of four effects. Desperate Fear, Nausea, Paralyzation, or sleep (they faint).
Abilities: Detton is probably one of the strongest men alive, and he's smart. He's an expert swordsman and an excellent athlete. He can fight unarmed as well, but nothing too fancy.
Weakness: Detton is not immortal. He can be killed like most humans (though since his left side is covered in metal, it's hard to pierce) and although he is fast, he isn't the quickest by far.
